Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
ShootingStat (“the platform”) is a digital service for tracking and logging basketball shooting for coaches, players, and parents.
To contact us about privacy: support@shootingstat.com
2. Data we collect
Account data: email address, name, role (coach / player / parent), and gender for in-app form of address.
Sports data: teams, players, sessions, shots (zone, make/miss), drills, plans, and notes linked to the account.
Basic technical data: sign-in records, device/browser as needed to run the service and security.
3. How we use the data
To operate the platform: saving stats, linking coach, player, and parent, and in-app notifications.
To send functional email (welcome, a reminder to start logging, an alert when activity stops, and a congratulations for a milestone such as the first 10 sessions). You can opt out of this type of message at any time from the unsubscribe link in the email or from settings.
To improve the experience and fix issues — without selling your personal data to third parties for advertising purposes.
To contact you about support or important service updates.
4. Sharing and visibility
The coach sees data for players linked to their team and the sessions/shares allowed under the platform settings.
The parent sees children’s sessions only after the player approves the link, and only for sessions the player explicitly shares with the parent (or coach assignments).
The platform operator (admin account) may access basic account data — such as email, name, role, sign-in records, and usage indicators — to run the service, measure usage, and provide technical support on request. We do not sell your personal data to third parties for advertising purposes.
We may use infrastructure providers (such as hosting, databases, and email) to process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations — including Supabase, Vercel, and Resend.
5. Storage and security
We seek to protect data with appropriate technical and organizational measures. Absolute security over the internet cannot be guaranteed.
The sign-in session is stored on your device so you can use the platform; keep your account confidential.
Sensitive support actions (such as changing an email or deleting an account) are carried out through a protected admin account and may be recorded in an internal audit log for security and accountability.
6. Your rights
You may request correction of your data, an export of a copy, or deletion of your account from settings or via support. We may retain a minimum of records if required by law or to prevent abuse.
You may stop sharing specific sessions with the coach or parent from the session settings when that option is available.
Date of birth (if you enter it) is used to compare the season age category according to the Egyptian federation, and not for advertising purposes.
7. Minors
The platform is intended for coaches, players, and parents. If the user is a minor, the account must be used under the supervision of a parent or the responsible coach in accordance with the laws of your country.
8. Updates
We may update this policy. We will update the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the platform after an update means you have reviewed the new version.
